Unvulcanized Rubber Price in Lithuania (FOB) - 2023

The average unvulcanized rubber export price stood at $3,958 per ton in September 2023, jumping by 15% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $4,202 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to September 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($6,654 per ton), while the average price for exports to Chile ($2,629 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Unvulcanized Rubber Price in Lithuania (CIF) - 2023

In September 2023, the average unvulcanized rubber import price amounted to $4,491 per ton, reducing by -9% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 48% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $6,316 per ton. From May 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($6,277 per ton), while the price for China ($1,011 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+4.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Unvulcanized Rubber Exports in Lithuania

Unvulcanized rubber exports from Lithuania surged to 10K tons in 2022, picking up by 43% against the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, exports showed significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 84% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.

In value terms, unvulcanized rubber exports surged to $45M in 2022. Overall, exports enjoyed a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 69% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
