Unroasted Decaffeinated Coffee Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average unroasted decaffeinated coffee export price amounted to $15,982 per ton, rising by 32% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a temperate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, unroasted decaffeinated coffee export price increased by +131.0% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 47% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kyrgyzstan ($81,178 per ton), while the average price for exports to Iraq ($5,163 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belarus (+33.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average unroasted decaffeinated coffee import price amounted to $5,458 per ton, picking up by 5.2% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a slight decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 63% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $6,373 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kenya ($21,000 per ton), while the price for Italy ($3,000 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kenya (+73.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Unroasted Decaffeinated Coffee Exports in Turkey

In 2022, approx. 28 tons of unroasted decaffeinated coffee were exported from Turkey; which is down by -63.7% against 2021. Overall, exports, however, recorded a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 562%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 77 tons, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, unroasted decaffeinated coffee exports fell markedly to $445K in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 584% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $929K, and then fell rapidly in the following year.

In 2022, unroasted decaffeinated coffee imports into Turkey fell rapidly to 56 tons, which is down by -46.7% compared with the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports saw a abrupt slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 76%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 106 tons, and then dropped sharply in the following year.
