Uncured Cheese Price in Iran (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average uncured cheese export price amounted to $1,939 per ton, approximately equating the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when the average export price increased by 114% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $3,080 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($2,329 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($877 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Uzbekistan (+18.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Uncured Cheese Price in Iran (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average uncured cheese import price amounted to $3,454 per ton, surging by 16% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a slight contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 250%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $13,960 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($3,514 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($1,567 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (-2.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Uncured Cheese Exports in Iran
In 2022, the amount of unripened or uncured cheese exported from Iran reduced rapidly to 1.4K tons, waning by -21.1% on the previous year. Overall, exports recorded a sharp shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 74% against the previous year.
