Television Receiver Price in France (CIF) - 2023
The average television receiver import price stood at $313 per unit in August 2023, surging by 4.1% against the previous month. Over the period from August 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.1%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in September 2022 when the average import price increased by 28% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $319 per unit in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to August 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($499 per unit), while the price for Tunisia ($144 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Television Receiver Price in France (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average television receiver export price amounted to $231 per unit, declining by -10.3% against the previous month. Over the period from August 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.6%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in July 2023 an increase of 15% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $258 per unit, and then reduced in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Belgium ($1,072 per unit), while the average price for exports to Senegal ($53.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+7.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in purchases abroad of television receivers, when their volume decreased by -11.9% to 14M units. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 16% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 15M units, and then reduced in the following year.
In value terms, television receiver imports contracted notably to $1.9B in 2022. In general, imports recorded a slight decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 22%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $2.3B, and then contracted markedly in the following year.

Television Receiver Exports in France

In value terms, television receiver exports fell rapidly to $255M in 2022.
