In March 2022, the average synthetic filament tow export price amounted to $2,403 per ton, with a decrease of -8.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2021 an increase of 19% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $3,075 per ton in May 2021; however, from June 2021 to March 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In March 2022, the highest price was recorded for prices to Italy ($2,647 per ton) and the United Arab Emirates ($2,528 per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia ($2,201 per ton) and Turkey ($2,434 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average synthetic filament tow import price stood at $3,290 per ton in 2022, increasing by 19% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed pronounced growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 194% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $7,168 per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
