In July 2023, the average swine; live import price amounted to $219 per unit, with an increase of 4.2% against the previous month. Overall, import price indicated strong growth from July 2022 to July 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +5.9% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on July 2023 figures, swine; live import price increased by +78.6% against November 2022 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 15% against the previous month. The import price peaked in July 2023.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Denmark ($266 per unit), while the price for Belgium ($149 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
