Sweet Biscuit Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2023

In September 2023, the average sweet biscuit export price amounted to $2,602 per ton, declining by -4.8% against the previous month. Over the period from September 2022 to September 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.0%. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 4.7% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $2,733 per ton in August 2023, and then declined modestly in the following month.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the UK ($3,852 per ton), while the average price for exports to Syrian Arab Republic ($1,709 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+2.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Sweet Biscuit Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2023

The average sweet biscuit import price stood at $3,526 per ton in September 2023, growing by 10% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 23% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $4,115 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($5,976 per ton), while the price for the Czech Republic ($2,440 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+5.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Sweet Biscuit Exports in Turkey

In 2022, the amount of sweet biscuits exported from Turkey reached 192K tons, approximately mirroring the previous year's figure. Overall, exports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 5.4% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 199K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, sweet biscuit exports skyrocketed to $432M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +7.8% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Sweet Biscuit Imports in Turkey
