The average sulphides; of sodium import price stood at $652 per ton in 2022, surging by 14% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a slight decline. The import price peaked at $757 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($2,423 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($510 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
