The average sulphates; of aluminium import price stood at $250 per ton in 2022, rising by 127% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a perceptible decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average import price increased by 170% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $866 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($508 per ton), while the price for Belarus ($102 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+7.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average sulphates; of aluminium export price amounted to $1,275 per ton, increasing by 145% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a deep slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 243%. The export price peaked at $2,874 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($1,774 per ton), while the average price for exports to Latvia ($254 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Estonia (+18.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Sulphates; of Aluminium Imports in Lithuania
In 2022, the amount of sulphates; of aluminia imported into Lithuania dropped sharply to 675 tons, which is down by -43.1% compared with 2021 figures. Over the period under review, imports showed a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 7.7% against the previous year.
In value terms, sulphates; of aluminium imports skyrocketed to $169K in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2022, overseas shipments of sulphates; of aluminia were finally on the rise to reach 112 tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Over the period under review, exports, however, faced a precipitous setback.
In value terms, sulphates; of aluminium exports soared to $142K in 2022. In general, exports enjoyed buoyant growth. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
