In 2022, the average steel sheet piling import price amounted to $2,233 per ton, jumping by 150% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed buoyant growth. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($3,490 per ton), while the price for Poland ($667 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+14.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average steel sheet piling export price stood at $3,418 per ton in 2022, increasing by 88% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a remarkable increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 90%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

In 2022, purchases abroad of sheet piling of steel decreased by -83.9% to 214 tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Overall, imports faced a precipitous curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 675%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 5.4K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, steel sheet piling imports reduced notably to $477K in 2022. In general, imports showed a deep slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 819% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $5.8M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
