The average spices; mixtures import price stood at $1,783 per ton in 2022, jumping by 16% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 48%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $4,315 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Lebanon ($3,625 per ton), while the price for India ($1,740 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+28.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($7,500 per ton), while the average price for exports to Burkina Faso ($231 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Burkina Faso (+39.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
