Spectacles and Goggles Price in China (FOB) - 2023
The average spectacles and goggles export price stood at $1.4 per unit in June 2023, almost unchanged from the previous month. Overall, the export price saw a slight contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 35% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $1.9 per unit in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to June 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Russia ($2.3 per unit), while the average price for exports to Brazil ($543 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+4.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Spectacles and Goggles Price in China (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average spectacles and goggles import price amounted to $4 per unit, with an increase of 16% against the previous year. In general, import price indicated perceptible growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, spectacles and goggles import price decreased by -7.4% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 49% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $4.3 per unit. From 2021 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($6.1 per unit), while the price for the United States ($1.7 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Myanmar (+44.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
