Sunglasses Imports By Country
In 2016, China (X tonnes) represented the main importer for sunglasses, constituting X% of total imports. It was distantly followed by the U.S. (X tonnes), comprising X% share of total sunglasses imports. The UK (X tonnes), China, Hong Kong SAR (X tonnes), Spain (X tonnes), Germany (X tonnes), Canada (X tonnes), France (X tonnes), Italy (X tonnes), and the Netherlands (X tonnes) held the minor share of total imports.
China experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. While the share of Canada (-X%), Spain (-X%), China, Hong Kong SAR (-X%), and the U.S. (-X%) decreased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the U.S. ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported sunglasses worldwide, making up X% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by the UK ($X), with the share of X% of global imports. It was followed by China, Hong Kong SAR, with the share of X%.
In the U.S., sunglasses imports stood at an average annual rate of +X% over the period from 2007-2016. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the UK (+X% per year) and China, Hong Kong SAR (+X% per year).
