Sparkling Wine Price in Qatar (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average sparkling wine import price amounted to $2.1 per litre, with a decrease of -28.8% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a noticeable contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 64% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $4.1 per litre in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Portugal ($7.7 per litre), while the price for Australia ($0.9 per litre) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mexico (+24.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Sparkling Wine Imports in Qatar

In 2022, approx. 360K litres of sparkling wine were imported into Qatar; rising by 42% compared with 2021. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 248% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 1M litres. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, sparkling wine imports reached $743K in 2022. In general, imports, however, faced a deep contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 213% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $3.7M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
