View PricingSolar Ingot Manufacturing Process
Solar ingot manufacturing process involves several steps and is an intricate process. It starts with the sourcing of high-purity raw materials such as silicon, boron, and phosphorus, which are then melted under high temperatures to form a molten silicon mixture.
Once the molten mixture has reached the desired purity, it is then poured into molds to solidify into cylindrical shapes called ingots. The molds used in this process are made from graphite because of its high thermal conductivity and low reactivity with the molten silicon mixture.
After cooling and solidifying, the ingots are then removed from the molds and sliced into thin wafers using a diamond saw. These wafers are then polished and cleaned to remove any impurities, and a layer of antireflective coating is added to improve the efficiency of the solar cell.
The next step is adding a dopant to the wafers. Dopants are added to create sufficient carrier concentration, giving wafers their charge-carrying ability. This is followed by a thermal process to diffuse the dopants into the wafers uniformly.
Once the dopant has been evenly distributed, the wafers are ready for the cell fabrication process. The fabrication process includes several critical steps, such as the formation of the front and rear contacts, the deposition of dielectric layers, and the formation of the junction.
The front and rear contacts allow for the efficient flow of electrons, while the dielectric layers prevent the electrical current from short-circuiting. The junction is formed by combining two different types of doped regions, which generates the photon-generated electric charge and electrical current in the device.
The final step is the assembly of solar cells into modules, which involve connecting individual cells to form a larger unit. After that, the modules are encapsulated to protect them from external factors such as moisture and UV radiation.
Overall, the solar ingot manufacturing process is detailed and complex. The process involves several steps, with each step requiring precision and accuracy. However, the end result - clean renewable energy - makes it all worthwhile.

New waves of the epidemic and the overwhelming demand for oxygen in the healthcare sector have led to a scarcity of the product worldwide. Countries with severe shortages are diverting oxygen from the sectors of metallurgy and chemistry to healthcare, which reduces the productivity of the manufacturing industries. As the pandemic slows, the demand for medical oxygen will return to pre-crisis levels. In the post-pandemic period, the growing demand from the metallurgical and chemical industries will continue to shape market expansion. Decarbonization may emerge as a new market driver, with oxygen being used to produce synthesis gas from carbon dioxide.
