China was the main exporter of silicon in the world, with the volume of exports reaching X tonnes, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2020. It was distantly followed by Norway (X tonnes), Brazil (X tonnes), the Netherlands (X tonnes) and Germany (X tonnes), together constituting a X% share of total exports. Australia (X tonnes) and the United States (X tonnes) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Exports from China decreased at an average annual rate of -X% from 2007 to 2020. At the same time, the Netherlands (+X%), Germany (+X%), Norway (+X%) and Australia (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Netherlands emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the world, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2020. The United States experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, average export prices reached the maximum at $X per tonne in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2020, export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
