Soap in Bars Price in Vietnam (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average soap in bars export price amounted to $2,395 per ton, increasing by 14% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.4%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 18%. The export price peaked at $2,600 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($2,658 per ton), while the average price for exports to Myanmar ($1,587 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+17.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average soap in bars import price amounted to $2,575 per ton, waning by -2.9% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +4.3%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average import price increased by 12%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $2,653 per ton in 2021, and then declined slightly in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($5,581 per ton), while the price for Indonesia ($1,227 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Japan (+11.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Soap in Bars Exports in Vietnam

In 2022, the amount of soap and organic surface-active products in bars exported from Vietnam surged to 10K tons, jumping by 19% compared with 2021. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.5% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 29% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 12K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, soap in bars exports skyrocketed to $24M in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated a pronounced increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.4% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports decreased by -20.8% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 44%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $31M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
