In September 2023, the average silicon export price amounted to $2,861 per ton, waning by -6.3% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a pronounced slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 5.2% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $5,046 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to September 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($3,472 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($1,973 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Korea (+0.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average silicon import price stood at $2,520 per ton in September 2023, with an increase of 3% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, showed a pronounced decline.
