In July 2023, the average salts; molybdates export price amounted to $25,835 per ton, dropping by -9.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a noticeable increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 42% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $37,874 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to July 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($35,424 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($23,350 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+5.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average salts; molybdates import price stood at $4,453 per ton in 2022, reducing by -20.9% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a abrupt curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 34%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $15,494 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
