Rice Bran Price in Poland (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average rice bran export price amounted to $318 per ton, rising by 29% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 42%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Latvia ($337 per ton) and the Czech Republic ($317 per ton), while the average price for exports to Lithuania ($273 per ton) and Slovakia ($295 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+2.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Rice Bran Price in Poland (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average rice bran import price amounted to $325 per ton, which is down by -22.9% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a temperate increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 149%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $422 per ton, and then dropped markedly in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($678 per ton), while the price for Lithuania ($150 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Latvia (+17.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Rice Bran Exports in Poland

In 2022, approx. 42K tons of rice bran were exported from Poland; growing by 16% compared with the previous year. In general, exports saw significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 147%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, rice bran exports surged to $13M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports posted a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 110%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

Rice Bran Imports in Poland

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas purchases of rice bran, when their volume decreased by -26.2% to 6.4K tons. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 140%.

In value terms, rice bran imports fell dramatically to $2.1M in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 240% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $3.6M, and then fell sharply in the following year.
