Refined Olive Oil Price in Croatia (CIF) - 2022
The average refined olive oil import price stood at $4,282 per ton in 2022, rising by 22% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.6%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 30% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $4,283 per ton in 2018; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from Italy ($4,643 per ton) and Slovenia ($4,568 per ton), while the price for Spain ($3,931 per ton) and France ($4,146 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a abrupt slump. The export price peaked at $17,081 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($21,435 per ton), while the average price for exports to Albania ($2,625 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Albania (+13.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

For the fourth year in a row, Croatia recorded growth in overseas purchases of refined olive oil, which increased by 53% to 781 tons in 2022. Overall, imports showed a significant increase. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
