Recovered Fibre Pulp Price in the Netherlands (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average recovered fibre pulp import price amounted to $490 per ton, declining by -2.3% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a pronounced setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average import price increased by 95% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,180 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($1,333 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($411 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+16.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Recovered Fibre Pulp Price in the Netherlands (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average recovered fibre pulp export price amounted to $134 per ton, declining by -23.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price faced a abrupt descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 149% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,567 per ton. From December 2022 to June 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Luxembourg ($761 per ton), while the average price for exports to France ($51.0 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Recovered Fibre Pulp Imports in the Netherlands
In 2022, imports of recovered fibre pulp into the Netherlands skyrocketed to 5.6K tons, increasing by 19% against 2021. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern.
