Quilted Textile Products Price in Turkey (CIF) - 2023

In January 2023, the average quilted textile products import price amounted to $17.5 per kg, falling by -29.5% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, enjoyed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2022 an increase of 278% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $37.8 per kg in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to January 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($61.0 per kg), while the price for Bulgaria ($3,947 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From January 2022 to January 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Romania (+21.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Quilted Textile Products Price in Turkey (FOB) - 2023

In January 2023, the average quilted textile products export price amounted to $4,725 per ton, dropping by -16.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 26% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $5,938 per ton in April 2022; however, from May 2022 to January 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Romania ($6,061 per ton), while the average price for exports to Iran ($818 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From January 2022 to January 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Algeria (+692.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Quilted Textile Products Imports in Turkey

Quilted textile products imports into Turkey dropped notably to 341 tons in 2022, reducing by -38.1% on the previous year's figure. In general, imports saw a sharp reduction. The smallest decline of -6% was in 2021. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at 786 tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, quilted textile products imports dropped dramatically to $2.1M in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a significant decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 0.9%. Imports peaked at $4.8M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

Quilted Textile Products Exports in Turkey

In 2022, overseas shipments of quilted textile products in the piece (excluding embroidery) decreased by -24.6% to 397 tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a resilient increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 53% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 526 tons, and then contracted notably in the following year.

In value terms, quilted textile products exports shrank to $2M in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated a prominent increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +18.4% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +66.1% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 44% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $2.3M, and then declined in the following year.
