The average pumps; parts thereof import price stood at $22,237 per ton in June 2023, jumping by 37% against the previous month. Over the period from June 2022 to June 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.2%. The import price peaked at $24,168 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to June 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($30,449 per ton), while the price for India ($4,402 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+6.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Pumps; Parts Thereof Price in Poland (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average pumps; parts thereof export price amounted to $16,135 per ton, rising by 21% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.5%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 27% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $17,518 per ton. From January 2023 to June 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was France ($28,352 per ton), while the average price for exports to Switzerland ($5,528 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (+6.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Pumps; Parts Thereof Imports in Poland
After three years of growth, supplies from abroad of pumps; parts thereoves decreased by -5.6% to 11K tons in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated buoyant growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +11.8% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +39.7% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 35% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 12K tons, and then reduced in the following year.
In value terms, pumps; parts thereof imports dropped to $219M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.0% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 11% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $230M, and then fell in the following year.
