Printed Circuit Price in Canada (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average printed circuit import price amounted to $0.6 per unit, picking up by 4.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 9.5%. The import price peaked at $0.6 per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were South Africa ($0.6 per unit) and Japan ($0.6 per unit), while the price for Thailand ($0.6 per unit) and China ($0.6 per unit) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (-0.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Printed Circuit Price in Canada (FOB) - 2022

The average printed circuit export price stood at $0.9 per unit in 2022, picking up by 8.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 10%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $0.9 per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Australia ($0.9 per unit) and the United States ($0.9 per unit), while the average price for exports to Mexico ($0.9 per unit) and Israel ($0.9 per unit) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Israel (-0.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Printed Circuit Imports in Canada

In 2022, the amount of printed circuits imported into Canada was estimated at 700M units, increasing by 15% against 2021. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.5% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 22%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, printed circuit imports surged to $408M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +6.8% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
