The average import price for zinc; bars, rods, profiles and wires stood at $3,921 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 3.7% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.6%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average import price increased by 36%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $3,956 per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($9,759 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($1,138 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
