In 2022, the average wood; shingles and shakes export price amounted to $5,289 per ton, shrinking by -4.6% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when the average export price increased by 118% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $11,003 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($6,821 per ton), while the average price for exports to Tunisia ($542 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Moldova (+37.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
