In November 2021, the average wood; posts and beams export price amounted to $2,528 per ton, remaining constant against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a tangible expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2021 when the average export price increased by 27% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,703 per ton in September 2021; however, from October 2021 to November 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In November 2021, the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($4,970 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($884 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2020 to November 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
