The average export price for wood stood at $3.9 per cubic meter in December 2021, growing by 6.4% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2021 an increase of 12% month-to-month. The export price peaked in December 2021.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Germany ($30.6 per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Sweden ($2.1 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to December 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Sweden (+6.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for wood stood at $16 per cubic meter in 2022, increasing by 58% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the average import price increased by 142%. The import price peaked at $32 per cubic meter in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($90 per cubic meter), while the price for Poland ($11 per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.
