The average winding wire of copper import price stood at $15,491 per ton in June 2023, declining by -1.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($128K per ton), while the price for Kenya ($3,702 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kenya (+17.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
