Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.2%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2022 an increase of 21% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $1,107 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to October 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In October 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Germany ($1,142 per ton) and Romania ($1,050 per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria ($854 per ton) and Poland ($883 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hungary (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
