In 2022, the average wheat and meslin flour import price amounted to $474 per ton, with an increase of 2.3% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the average import price increased by 45% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $662 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($810 per ton), while the price for Malaysia ($34 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+390.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average wheat and meslin flour export price stood at $662 per ton in 2022, remaining stable against the previous year. In general, export price indicated pronounced growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
