In December 2023, the average export price for vinyl chloride polymers; waste, parings and scraps amounted to $471 per ton, growing by 29% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, saw a abrupt shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 when the average export price increased by 129% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,485 per ton. From April 2023 to December 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Nigeria ($644 per ton), while the average price for exports to Tanzania ($366 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Uganda (0.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, overseas shipments of vinyl chloride polymers; waste, parings and scraps decreased by -53.9% to 8.5K tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth.
