The average import price for vegetables (uncooked or cooked by steaming or boiling in water); frozen stood at $1,575 per ton in December 2023, declining by -2.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 4.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $1,617 per ton in November 2023, and then shrank in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($1,766 per ton), while the price for China ($821 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in December 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was China ($2,106 per ton), while the average price for exports to Mexico ($1,332 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
