Frozen potato imports into the United States expanded notably to X tons in 2021, with an increase of 14% compared with the previous year's figure. In general, total imports indicated a resilient increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +63.4% against 2012 indices. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Overall, total imports indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.3% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +71.5% against 2015 indices. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Canada (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of frozen potato to the United States, with a 86% share of total imports. Moreover, frozen potato imports from Canada exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Belgium (X tons), ninefold.
