The import price peaked at $693 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to May 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for the Netherlands.

In April 2023, the average export price for vegetables; seed potatoes, fresh or chilleds amounted to $1,475 per ton, jumping by 49% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a deep downturn. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $2,139 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to April 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In April 2023, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($2,726 per ton), while the average price for exports to Croatia ($1,095 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to April 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovakia (+16.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
