In January 2024, the average export price for vegetables; potatoes (other than seed), fresh or chilleds amounted to $620 per ton, standing approximately at the previous month. In general, the export price saw a mild descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in October 2023 an increase of 74% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $722 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to January 2024, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In January 2024, the country with the highest price was Panama ($1,806 per ton), while the average price for exports to Paraguay ($241 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Uruguay (+7.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, shipments abroad of vegetables; potatoes (other than seed), fresh or chilleds decreased by -35.9% to 4.1K tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Overall, exports, however, recorded significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 470%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 9.1K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.
