The average import price for tubes and pipes of copper alloys other than copper-zinc, cupro-nickel or nickel-silver stood at $11,428 per ton in 2022, declining by -3.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 an increase of 51%. The import price peaked at $17,942 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($27,500 per ton), while the price for China ($9,809 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (+11.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, purchases abroad of tubes and pipes of copper alloys other than copper-zinc, cupro-nickel or nickel-silver decreased by -31.3% to 36 tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, imports, however, saw strong growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 69% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 53 tons, and then fell markedly in the following year.
In value terms, imports of tubes and pipes of copper alloys other than copper-zinc, cupro-nickel or nickel-silver reduced notably to $417K in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 122% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $630K, and then shrank sharply in the following year.
