In November 2023, the average export price for tobacco; other than "homogenised" or "reconstituted" or "smoking"s amounted to $9,398 per ton, surging by 7.3% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.0%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 24% m-o-m. The export price peaked in November 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Iran ($11,169 per ton), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($7,065 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
