The average import price for thiocarbamates, dithiocarbamates, thiuram mono-, di- or tetrasulphides and methionine stood at $2,333 per ton in November 2023, reducing by -5.2% against the previous month. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a mild contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2023 an increase of 13% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $3,289 per ton. From June 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Japan ($2,304 per ton) and Malaysia ($2,304 per ton), while the price for Singapore ($2,304 per ton) and China ($2,304 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Japan (-0.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The average export price for thiocarbamates, dithiocarbamates, thiuram mono-, di- or tetrasulphides and methionine stood at $3,067 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 18% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a deep downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 47%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $7,886 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Fiji ($3,070 per ton) and Australia ($3,067 per ton), while the average price for exports to New Caledonia ($3,067 per ton) and Papua New Guinea ($3,067 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2013 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Papua New Guinea (+22.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
