The average import price for steel, alloy; angles, shapes and sectionses stood at $2,017 per ton in December 2023, dropping by -18.7% against the previous month. From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+22.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $5,848 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Korea (+66.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
