The average import price for steel, alloy; angles, shapes and sectionses stood at $2,497 per ton in November 2023, surging by 5.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2023 an increase of 11% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $3,313 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to November 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Spain ($4,946 per ton), while the price for Sweden ($2,337 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
