In October 2023, the average export price for stainless steel bars and rods, angles, shapes and sectionses amounted to $10,569 per ton, rising by 9.6% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8%. The export price peaked at $10,745 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to October 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($12,878 per ton), while the average price for exports to Thailand ($5,301 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (+15.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was the UK ($14,992 per ton), while the price for India ($5,016 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Bulgaria (+21.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
