The average export price for rubber; vulcanised, conveyor belts or belting, reinforced only with metals stood at $2,816 per ton in December 2023, approximately mirroring the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 an increase of 8.7% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $3,232 per ton. From March 2023 to December 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Bangladesh ($4,964 per ton), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($1,744 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
