Price for Refined or Synthetic Glycerol in Belgium (FOB) - 2023

In June 2023, the average refined or synthetic glycerol export price amounted to $1,138 per ton, dropping by -3.8% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a abrupt decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 9.2% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $2,264 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to June 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was France ($1,434 per ton), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($532 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (-3.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average refined or synthetic glycerol import price stood at $1,481 per ton in 2022, increasing by 81% against the previous year. In general, the import price posted a strong expansion. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($2,376 per ton), while the price for France ($272 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
