Price for Pulp; Cotton Linters Pulp in South Korea (CIF) - 2022

The average pulp; cotton linters pulp import price stood at $1,964 per ton in December 2022, declining by -3.7% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a noticeable decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2022 when the average import price increased by 11% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $2,538 per ton in December 2021; however, from January 2022 to December 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2022, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($2,441 per ton), while the price for China amounted to $1,845 per ton.

From December 2021 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+4.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
