In October 2023, the average export price for poultry fat; other than that of heading 0209 or 1503 meat amounted to $4,666 per ton, rising by 25% against the previous month. Overall, export price indicated noticeable growth from October 2022 to October 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.3% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on October 2023 figures, export price for poultry fat; other than that of heading 0209 or 1503 meat increased by +25.5% against September 2023 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 99.9% m-o-m. From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Overall, the import price, however, showed a buoyant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 an increase of 153%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $2,459 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
