The average import price for polymers of vinyl chloride or of other halogenated olefins, in primary formses stood at $1,015 per ton in June 2023, declining by -4.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a noticeable contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 12% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $1,672 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to June 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($1,447 per ton), while the price for Saudi Arabia ($439 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Sweden (+1.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($1,552 per ton), while the average price for exports to Egypt ($961 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
