In 2022, the average import price for photographic plates, film, paper, paperboard and textiles, exposed but not developeds amounted to $0.6 per square meter, with a decrease of -24.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a significant contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 144%. The import price peaked at $9.2 per square meter in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($5 per square meter), while the price for China ($0.4 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+2.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($54 per square meter), while the average price for exports to Slovenia ($0.9 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+190.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, exports enjoyed significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 573% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.

In value terms, exports of photographic plates, film, paper, paperboard and textiles, exposed but not developeds soared to $21K in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate a significant expansion. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
