In 2022, the average import price for perchlorates; bromates and perbromates; iodates and periodateses amounted to $28,889 per ton, jumping by 22% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a dramatic decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the average import price increased by 123% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $105,228 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($195,000 per ton), while the price for India ($25,336 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2017 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+15.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, overseas purchases of perchlorates; bromates and perbromates; iodates and periodateses decreased by -80.2% to 4.1 tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 1,889%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 21 tons, and then contracted sharply in the following year.
In value terms, imports of perchlorates; bromates and perbromates; iodates and periodateses plummeted to $119K in 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 1,451%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $495K, and then plummeted in the following year.
